Study of climatic conditions of Guilan province
Guilan highlands can be divided into two main groups:
The first group is a part of the Alborz Mountains that separates this region from the central plateau of Iran by south of Gilan province. Rasht city in the north of this part of the highlands of the province is low.
The second group, located along the Talesh city, separates Gilan from Azerbaijan. The cities in these areas are generally mountainous, with only a narrow strip of land adjacent to the sea. The northern part of the city of Rasht is located at a lower elevation than the high seas and some parts of it are swampy and swampy. Generally, moving north to south of Guilan province, sea level rises, eventually blocking the southern highlands through the massive Alborz Mountains.
